Equipment and Player Safety

Equipment and Player Safety

The basics matter. Proper equipment, preparation and attention to safety help students focus on learning and playing the game.

Equipment is one of the concrete ways community support can help a school baseball program. Having appropriate tools available can reduce barriers to participation and make practices and games more productive.

What it looks like

Safety is also a shared responsibility. Players, coaches and families all have a role in following the program’s rules and using equipment as intended.

The community role

Public descriptions of Friends of Harrison Baseball identify baseball equipment among the areas the organization supports.

The best programs make room for students to grow—not just players to perform.
